Games without registration exist so that playing does not start with a form. On tamashebi.cc you need no email, no password and no confirmation message to play Nardi, domino, Joker, Japanese Joker or Bura: you choose a name and an avatar and you are at the table. In Georgian this is called playing stumrad — "as a guest". Below is exactly how it works, what a guest can and cannot do, and what happens if you decide to create an account later. Your matches are not lost when you do.
Why registration is a barrier
Someone who has not played a single hand yet does not know whether they will like the game. Asking them for an email, a password and a confirmation click at that moment is one step too many — and for many people, the reason to close the tab. All the more so on a phone, where every form field is its own small struggle. Some people simply do not want yet another site holding their email. Others have opened a link a friend sent and want one game, here and now.
Trust is another reason. Many people know that handing over an email often brings marketing mail, and that reusing one password on ten sites is risky. Guest play does not raise the question at all: you play first, see how the site works, who plays and how fair it is, and only then decide whether it is worth giving more.
That is why the guest window is short on purpose. It asks only for what a game cannot do without — a name your opponent will see, and an avatar. Everything else can wait until the game has shown it is worth it.
How to play as a guest
- Open the page of the game you want — Nardi or domino, say — and tap "Play now".
- The window already suggests a name. Keep it or type your own: between three and twenty characters. The name must be free — if it is taken, the site tells you straight away.
- Pick an avatar from twelve faces. The rest appear later on your profile page.
- Tap "Start playing". From that moment you have a guest session and carry on — with quick play, by sitting at an open table or by creating your own.
- If a friend has sent you a link, just open it, fill in the same two fields and you are at their table. If the table has a password, your friend will tell you.
Example: a friend sends you a Nardi table link on WhatsApp. You open it on your phone; the window suggests a name, you type "Gio_Kutaisi" instead, choose an avatar and tap the button. A few seconds later you are at the board and your friend sees your name. At no point did an email or a password appear.
Your name and avatar
A guest's name is genuinely theirs. It is what your opponent sees, and it stays if you later create an account. It must be free: a guest can never take another player's name, registered or not, so nobody can appear under yours. If you would rather not think of one, keep the suggestion and go straight to the game.
What a guest can do
- Play all five open games — Nardi, domino, Joker, Japanese Joker and Bura — at ordinary, free tables.
- Join a friend's table by link, including a password-protected one.
- Practise against bots: domino at three difficulty levels, and in Bura the host of a free table can fill empty seats with bots.
- Appear at the table under their own name and avatar.
- Carry on after a brief dropped connection — the game state is kept on the server.
A guest at a friend's table
The most common guest scenario is an invitation. You have an account; your friend does not. You create a table — domino to 175, say — and send the link. Your friend does not need to register: they open the link, pick a name and an avatar and sit down. You play an ordinary free match, the server keeps score, and afterwards the site offers your friend the chance to save their results — if they enjoyed it. One limit: a match with a guest cannot be ranked or played for coin, because a guest has no wallet. The same works for four-player Joker: all three friends get the same link.
What you give up as a guest
A guest profile is temporary: it is tied to a session stored in your browser, not to an email or a password. Clear your browser data or sign in from another device and you cannot get back to it. Avoid private (incognito) tabs if you want to keep it — closing one ends the session. That is why a few things need an account, and not by accident:
- Ranked matches. A rating that vanishes when the browser is cleared means nothing, and starting over as a fresh guest would be a way to hide a losing record. So ranked play requires an account — for both players.
- A friends list. Adding a friend links two permanent profiles; a guest does not have one.
- Tournaments. Entering a tournament requires an account.
- Domino Coin. A guest has no wallet and receives no starter coins — coins in a profile nobody can sign back into would simply disappear. Coin tables therefore need an account too.
When an account is worth it
If you like the games and play often, an account gives you a rating and a place on the leaderboard, tournaments, a friends list, starter Domino Coin and coin tables, and access from other devices. The key point is that you do not start from scratch. After you play as a guest the site offers "Save your results"; this does not create a new, empty account — the same guest profile becomes permanent. Your name, your matches, your stats and even the match you are playing right now come with you.
If you only drop in now and then for a game or two with a friend, playing as a guest is perfectly enough. Nobody is obliged to register. And once you have an account, guest play does not go away: you can still send friends a link and they can still sit down as guests.
Frequently asked questions
- Is playing as a guest free?
- Yes, exactly like playing with an account. There is no payment anywhere on the site.
- Will my guest matches be kept if I register later?
- Yes, if you create the account from the same browser while you are still the guest: the same profile becomes permanent and your stats and history stay.
- Why can't I play ranked as a guest?
- A rating needs a permanent profile. A guest profile disappears when the browser is cleared, so a rating attached to it could not be fair.
