Frequently asked questions
Short answers about playing, registration, Domino Coin, technical matters, rating and tournaments.
These are the questions players ask most often. If you cannot find your answer, write to us from the contact page.
Playing
- Which games can I play?
- Nardi, domino, Joker, Japanese Joker and Bura — all with Georgian rules. Seka is on its way: its rules are already on the site, but the game does not open yet.
- Can I play against a bot?
- Yes, in domino — at three levels — and in Bura, where the host fills empty seats with bots; that game is free. In Nardi and Joker your opponent is always a person; a bot steps in only for a player whose time ran out or who left the table.
- How do I play with a friend?
- Create a table — open or with a password — and from the waiting room send your friend the link or let them scan the QR code. The table is a coin table: you pick the stake when you create it, and the move time is 20 seconds.
- What happens if my connection drops?
- The match is kept on the server: come back in time and you continue from exactly where you stopped. In Nardi and Joker, if your time runs out or you leave, a bot takes your seat.
Registration
- Do I have to register?
- Not to get in: you can enter as a guest with a name (3–20 characters) and one of twelve avatars, and play domino or Bura against the bot for free. Tables use coins and a guest holds none, so playing other people, rating, tournaments and a friends list need an account.
- Is a guest profile kept?
- A guest profile is tied to your browser: after clearing site data or signing in from another device you cannot get back to it. “Save your results” turns that same profile into an account — your name, matches and statistics come with you.
- What does an account give me?
- A new account receives starting coins, and from then on the daily bonus, daily challenges, rated matches, tournaments and friends are open to you.
Coins
- What is Domino Coin?
- Domino Coin is a virtual in-game coin used for table stakes and tournament entry. It is not money: it cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money — there are no payments on the site at all.
- How do I get coins?
- You receive starting coins when you register, then more from the daily bonus, three daily challenges and wins at tables. The reward for inviting a friend is paid once the invited player has finished several matches against people; matches against a bot or against you do not count.
- How does the daily bonus work?
- The bonus goes to registered accounts only: seven days in a row, from 50 to 500 coins, with days counted in Tbilisi time. Miss a day and the run starts again.
- What if I run out of coins?
- On the “Earn Coin” page a small game gives you coins — nothing can be lost there. And in domino and Bura, playing the bot is free without any coins.
Technical
- Do I need to download an app?
- No. The site works in the browser — on a computer, on Android and on iPhone. If you like, add it to your phone’s home screen and it opens like an app.
- How do I know the game is fair?
- The server shuffles the cards, tiles and dice from a cryptographic source of randomness and checks every move itself. Your opponent’s hand is never sent to your browser.
Competition
- How does the rating work?
- In a rated match the result changes your rating using the Glicko-2 system. Both players need an account; games against a bot or a guest do not change the rating.
- Where is the leaderboard?
- On the rating page — with daily, weekly, monthly and all-time tables, counting rated matches only. A player appears on the list after finishing their placement matches.
- How do I enter a tournament?
- The tournaments page shows which ones are open for entry; you need an account. Tournaments are knock-out, and a player who does not confirm in time loses their place. Any entry fee and prize are in Domino Coin only.
