Georgian domino against a live opponent: a single stavka, points in multiples of five, a protected boneyard and a true riba.

This is the domino played in Georgia — not the international version with a Georgian interface. There is one stavka (the first double of the hand), points are scored in multiples of five, the last two tiles of the boneyard stay untouched, and the riba (a blocked board) works just as it does at the table. You play one-on-one, against a live opponent or a bot.
How to start
- Press “Play now” — the system will find you an evenly matched opponent.
- Or create a table and share the link with a friend — a private room by link or password.
- If you are still practising, choose the bot — it plays by the same rules and has three difficulty levels.
You do not need an account to start playing. You can play as a guest and save your results later.
Georgian domino rules in brief
The set and the deal
The game uses a 28-tile set, from 0-0 to 6-6. Each player takes 7 tiles; the other 14 stay in the boneyard. The first hand is opened by whoever holds the highest double; later hands by the winner of the previous hand.
The stavka
The first double placed is the stavka. There is only one stavka in the whole hand: tiles are added to it from all four sides, but no second stavka is ever opened — every later double is an ordinary tile and opens no new direction.
Scoring
You score when the sum of the open ends divides by five: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35. The most you can score in one move is 35 points. The points appear at once, next to the tile that earned them.
The boneyard
If you have no move, you go to the boneyard and draw until you find a tile you can play. The last two tiles in the boneyard stay untouched — nobody may take them. If the boneyard has reached that limit and you still have no move, the turn passes to your opponent.
The riba
A riba happens when the board is truly blocked and none of the remaining tiles fits anywhere. The player with fewer points left in hand wins and scores the loser’s total, rounded up to the next multiple of five. If both have the same amount left, it is a draw: nobody scores and the match goes on.
End of the match
The match goes on until one of the players reaches the target score: 75, 175, 255 or 355. The target is chosen by whoever creates the table.
Terms you will hear at the table
- Stavka — the first double of the hand, which opens in all four directions.
- Double — a tile with two equal halves: 3-3, 6-6. It is placed crosswise.
- Boneyard — the remaining tiles you draw from when you have no move.
- Riba — a blocked board, when nobody has a move.
- Draw — a riba with equal points left; nobody scores.
- Hand and match — one deal is a hand; a match is made up of several hands, up to the target score.
Strategy tips for beginners
- Count the sum of the open ends before every move — points come in multiples of five, and turning a single tile often changes the score by 5.
- The stavka is your ally: its third and fourth sides open new ends and raise the sum.
- Remember which numbers have already been played — that way you can see which end may get blocked.
- Near the end of the hand, count what is left in your hand: in a riba, the lower total wins.
- The last two tiles of the boneyard cannot be drawn — do not count on them.
Game modes
- Quick game — the system finds you an evenly matched opponent.
- Table with a friend — a private room by link or password.
- Bot — three difficulty levels, for practice.
- Tournaments — a knockout bracket, with prizes.
- Rated matches — the result counts towards your rating.
Domino on your phone
The site works fully in a phone browser: the table fits the screen, you place tiles by hand, and after a dropped connection you return to the same position. There is no app to download — if you like, you can add the site to your home screen.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it free?
- Yes. The game is completely free and real money is never involved.
- How many tiles are there in domino?
- 28 tiles, from 0-0 to 6-6. Each player takes 7 tiles and 14 stay in the boneyard.
- How many points is a match played to?
- The table’s creator chooses: 75, 175, 255 or 355 points.
- What is Domino Coin?
- It is the game’s internal virtual coin. With it you can play at a coin table or register for a tournament. It cannot be exchanged for money and means nothing outside the platform.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes, in the browser. There is no app to download.
- If my connection drops, do I lose the match?
- No, as long as you come back in time. The match waits for you and the position is restored exactly as you left it. A match only counts as abandoned after a long absence.
- Does the bot cheat? Can it see my tiles?
- No. The bot gets exactly the information your browser gets — its opponent’s tiles are hidden from it.
