Domino Online — Georgian Domino with Georgian Rules

Domino online, domino onlain, dominos tamashi — Georgian domino in the browser: the stavka, points in multiples of five and the riba, against a live opponent or a bot. How to start and what to know.

Domino online, domino onlain, dominos tamashi — this is how people search for domino in Latin letters, and the results often lead to a game that resembles Georgian domino in name only. On Tamashebi.cc domino is played by Georgian rules — with one stavka, points in multiples of five, a protected boneyard and a real riba. This page is a short guide for anyone who wants to play right now.

Why not every “domino online” is the same

Foreign sites usually offer the international variant: the line has two ends, points are counted at the end of the hand, and you draw from the boneyard down to the last tile. At a Georgian table people play differently — the first double is the stavka and opens on all four sides, and points are written during the game itself, whenever the open ends add up to a multiple of five. If you love these rules, the international variant will feel dull.

How to play right now

  1. Open the domino page and press “Play now” — the system finds you an opponent.
  2. Or create a table and send the link to a friend — a room closed by a link or a password.
  3. Want to practise? Choose the bot — it plays by the same rules and has three levels.
  4. Whoever creates the table chooses how many points you play to: 75, 175, 255 or 355.

Creating an account is not required: as a guest you play with a name and an avatar, and if you like it you can save your results later. Rated matches, tournaments and coin tables need an account.

Georgian domino rules in brief

  • 28 tiles, from 0-0 to 6-6. Each player is dealt 7 tiles, and 14 stay in the boneyard.
  • The first hand is opened by whoever holds the highest double; later hands by the winner of the previous hand.
  • The stavka is the first double of the hand. It opens in all four directions, and no second stavka ever appears.
  • Points are written when the open ends add up to a multiple of five: 5, 10, 15 and so on up to 35.
  • If you have no move you draw from the boneyard, but the last two tiles may not be touched.
  • The riba is a blocked board: whoever has less left in hand wins. With equal totals it is a draw and nobody scores.

The full rules, with examples, are on the rules page, and the interactive tutorial shows you step by step how the stavka is laid and how points are counted.

Domino on a phone — tips

  • The table fits the screen and tiles are placed with your finger — you do not need an app.
  • Before you move, look at the sum of the open ends: one tile in the right place often gives you five or ten points.
  • If the connection drops, the match waits for you — come back in time and the position is restored exactly.
  • Turn notifications off during a match: move time is limited.

What makes the domino here different

  • Points appear at once, next to the tile that earned them — no more arguments about the score.
  • The system itself protects the last two tiles of the boneyard, so the rule cannot be broken even by accident.
  • The server recognises the riba itself: the winner scores the loser’s total, rounded up to the next multiple of five.
  • Match history and statistics are kept, and with an account you also get a rating and tournaments.

With friends and family

Domino is often a family game: father and son, grandfather and grandchild. Now you no longer need to be in the same room for it — create a table, send the link on WhatsApp or Messenger, and whoever has no account sits down as a guest. Such a match cannot be rated, but an ordinary free game goes exactly as it would at the kitchen table.

Money and fairness

Domino is free. Some tables and tournaments use Domino Coin — a virtual coin that is not money and never turns into money. The server shuffles the tiles from a cryptographic source of randomness, your opponent’s tiles are never sent to your browser, and the bot sees exactly as much as you do — your tiles are hidden from it too.

Frequently asked questions

Are domino online and dominos tamashi the same thing?
Yes, both are searches for the same thing. Here it is Georgian domino — with the stavka, the riba and points in multiples of five.
Can I play against a bot?
Yes. In domino the bot has three levels, for practice. It cannot see its opponent’s tiles.
How many points is a match played to?
Whoever creates the table chooses: 75, 175, 255 or 355 points.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in the browser — on Android and on iPhone, without an app.
What is Domino Coin?
A virtual in-game coin for coin tables and tournaments. It cannot be exchanged for money or bought.
Why were my points not written?
Points are only written when the open ends add up to a multiple of five. If the sum is, say, 12, there are no points — so always count before you move.

Domino Coin is a virtual in-game coin. It is not money: it cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and it means nothing outside the site. There are no real-money stakes, top-ups or payments here.
