Plenty of people search for a "Joker app", a "Joker download" or a "Joker program". The short answer: you do not need to download anything to play Joker on tamashebi.cc. The game opens in your browser, on a phone or a computer, and works straight away, against live opponents. Below: how to get started, what you can choose, and why the game is fair.
No download needed
On a phone, just open the site in Chrome, Safari or any other browser: the table fits the screen, cards are played with a tap, and the score sheet opens with one button. It is the same on a computer, with no extra software to install. If you want an app-style icon, add the site to your home screen from the browser menu: it opens with one tap like an ordinary app, but takes up no storage and never needs updating, because the latest version always opens.
Online you may come across "jokeri apk" or "jokeri download" files from unknown sources. tamashebi.cc does not distribute any such file. Be careful with apps installed from unclear sources, apps that ask for unnecessary permissions, or apps that invite you to put money in: playing for money does not exist on this site at all. Playing in the browser has its own advantages: nothing is installed on your phone, no access to contacts or files is needed, and if you change phones you simply open the site again and your account and history are there.
How to start
- Open the Joker page, tamashebi.cc/joker, and go to the lobby, where the open tables are listed.
- If you are not signed in yet, the site offers to let you play as a guest. Registration is optional: you do not need an email address or password to start playing.
- Pick a free seat and press "Join", or create your own table with the "Create table" button. Each table card shows the mode, the khishti type, the seats taken, and whether it is a free or a coin table.
- When all four seats are filled and everyone presses "Ready", the deal starts by itself.
In the lobby you can filter tables: four-player Joker or Japanese Joker, standard or tskhrianebi (the "nines" mode), free or coin, rated or casual. To play with friends, create a table and press "Copy link" in the waiting room. Send the link to three friends, plus the password if the table has one. If there are only two of you, choose Japanese Joker: it needs just one opponent.
What you choose when creating a table
- Mode: standard, with 24 hands (1 up to 8 cards, four nine-card hands, back down from 8 to 1, and four more nine-card hands), or tskhrianebi, 16 nine-card hands.
- A free table, or one using the virtual Domino Coin.
- Khishti (the penalty for failing a bid by taking nothing): 200, 500, or "special", worth 100 per card in the hand.
- Premia and moshla: on or off.
- Visibility: open, friends only, or password-protected, with a password of at least four characters.
- Game type: rated or casual.
- Move time: 15, 20, 30, 45 or 60 seconds.
- A table name, which is optional.
- All these settings are locked when the match starts: nobody can change a rule halfway through.
Guest or account
Playing as a guest starts instantly: you can even pick a name, and your results are kept on the guest account. If you like the game, you can later turn the guest account into a full account without losing what you have played. An account is useful if you want to take part in the rating (a match only counts for the rating between registered players) or if you play from different devices: the history and statistics you started on your phone will be there on your computer too. The rules and tables are the same for both: a guest is just as full a player at the table as a registered one.
Fair play
- The cards are dealt by the server, not by your browser or your opponent's. The deck is shuffled on the server for every hand, and no player can see or change its order.
- Your cards are never sent to an opponent's browser: each player receives only their own hand and the cards already played to the table. So there is no way, not even with a program, to "see" someone else's cards.
- The server decides which cards may be played: your phone only shows you what you are allowed to play.
- The score (khishti, premia and moshla included) is calculated by the server and written to the score sheet automatically.
- If someone loses their connection and a bot takes their seat, the bot receives exactly the same information as the person in that seat would: no more, no less.
A virtual coin, not money
Coin tables use Domino Coin. It is a virtual in-game unit: it cannot be exchanged for money and means nothing outside the site. A coin table simply adds a little extra interest to the match (who got the better of whom) and nothing more. Anyone not interested in coins plays at a free table by exactly the same rules, with the same cards, scoring and opponents. There is no topping up an account with money, no cashing out and no financial transaction of any kind on the site, and if you ever see such an offer in tamashebi.cc's name, it does not belong to this site.
Which Joker is played here
This is Georgian Joker for four players: 36 cards with the two black sixes replaced by two jokers, a trump suit or bezi (no trumps), bidding, khishti, premia and moshla, and a score sheet split into pulkas (sections of the match). Alongside it there is Japanese Joker, for two players, with no bidding and open columns on the table. If you do not know the rules yet, read the rules article before joining your first table; during play the server itself shows you which cards you may play, so you cannot make an illegal move by accident. For a first match, a free, casual table with a fairly long move time, such as 45 or 60 seconds, is a good choice: it gives you time to think about your bid and get used to the table. Once you feel confident, try tskhrianebi or a rated match.
- Is there a Joker app I need to download?
- No. tamashebi.cc runs in the browser and needs no download. If you like, add the site to your phone's home screen from the browser menu: on Android it is usually "Add to Home screen", and on iPhone it is in Safari's Share menu.
- Is it free?
- Yes, completely. Coin tables use the virtual Domino Coin, which is not money and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Can I play without registering?
- Yes, as a guest. You can create an account later and keep your results. The only thing a guest does not get is a rating.
- I searched for "jokeri tamashi" or "jokeri online". Am I in the right place?

- What happens if my internet drops during a game?
- The match lives on the server. Your seat is held for a while, and when you come back you continue the same hand. If you stay away a long time, in classic Joker a bot takes your seat, and you get it back when you return.
